Hand-knitted peacock

Hello!

This is Chiba from Nine Tailor shop .

Well, it's over.

Koshien.

In fact, it will be finished by the time this is uploaded.

My local high school was unfortunately eliminated in the third round, but sportsmen are always beautiful.Come to think of it, around this time last year, I was still basking in the afterglow of the Paris Olympics.

I grew up playing basketball, and I'll never forget that moment when the Japanese men's basketball team wondered if they were going to beat France!? And the despair I felt when the opposing team made a three-point shot and at the same time Japan was called for a foul. Sorry. This isn't going to lead to anything related to hats, it's just a casual conversation. If I carry on like this, it'll just be another basketball blog written by a basketball nerd, so let's move on.

This time, we are introducing the handmade series that has been popular every season! Let's take a look at it right away.

N-1526 / Cattleya Hat

Let's start with the hat. This has been redesigned! What has changed is the depth. Compared to previous seasons, it now fits a little deeper. Previously, we had received feedback, especially from men, that they wished it was a little deeper. Good news! It's now deeper!

So, I think it fits a wider range of head sizes. This is due to the change in depth, but also to the softness of the fabric. It fits pretty much any head shape.

I'd like to confidently tell everyone who buys online that it conforms perfectly to the shape of your head, creating a beautiful silhouette. At the same time, it has just the right amount of firmness, so you can create a round silhouette by fitting it snugly to your head, or you can create a slightly boxier silhouette by adjusting it a little with your hands. The balance of softness and firmness is just right.

Personally, until last year I liked pairing it with sweatpants and long-sleeved T-shirts, which were pretty rough and casual, but this year I feel like pairing it with slacks and slightly more glamorous items.

At this time of year, it would be nice to pair it with thin denim like this.

I'm also happy that it can be folded. This year doesn't seem like we'll have a glorious long weekend that could be called Silver Week, but it's still perfect for Silver Week outings.

N-1525 / Cattleya Watch

Next up is the beanie from the same series. The material and texture are the same as the hat, so you can shape it however you like. I personally prefer it with a rounded silhouette, but our male staff member Masuda likes it with the top slightly flattened.

It has a good sense of rusticity and a slightly old-fashioned feel.

By the way, as an aside, as I have written in previous blogs, Masuda is extremely sensitive to heat, so in the summer he repeats "it's hot" about 50 times a day.

This is the adjective I hear most often from him in the summer. I no longer reply, "It's hot, isn't it?" However, perhaps because this series is very light, he seemed quite comfortable when wearing it. Even someone who gets hot easily can put it on fairly quickly.

By the way, the crown pattern has been floral for a while now, but this season the motif is peacock feathers! Peacock! Please try searching for it.

Those who have followed Nine Tailor 's official Instagram may have already seen it, but this season we will also be selling a series with sparrow embroidery. It's the season when we're all thinking about birds. We'll be posting more details about the sparrow series on our blog in the future. Please look forward to it.

It's been a lot of chat, so I hope you're all not getting bored... I hope to introduce myself little by little like this. If you're not interested, I'd be happy if you could at least take a look at the items. Actually, it's sad after all, so I'd be happy if you could take a look at everything. Thank you.

See you next time!
