I'm knitting.

Hello, this is Otake from Nine Tailor Shop.

It's that time of year again, cherry blossom season! The Nakameguro Cherry Blossom Festival is bustling with visitors every day again this year. (It's a shame we've had so many rainy days lately...)

For those who prefer dumplings over flowers, did you enjoy the food stalls and picnics? I'm one of those people, so while glancing at the fluttering petals, I enjoyed yakitori, chocolate bananas, some kind of mochi, and many other foods with a beer in hand at the Nakameguro festival. I'm satisfied again this year!

Today, I'd like to introduce Nine Tailor's hand-knitted series, which has many fans.

It appears in a design that embodies the warmth of craftsmanship and blends easily into everyday life.

N-1609 / Thyme Hat

This knitted hat has a gently spreading brim that suits anyone, regardless of gender or hairstyle.

By using different knitting patterns on the crown, it creates a textured look, yet its single color finish makes it easy to match with any style.

Beyond the visual beauty of its carefully knitted fabric, there's a strong focus on the "material" that significantly impacts its wearability.

By deliberately shrinking a hollow-structured yarn, a spongy structure with numerous air layers within the yarn is created.

This structure results in a fluffy volume and a lightness that belies its appearance. It minimizes the weight and stuffiness often associated with knits, making it comfortable to wear even in spring and summer.

Furthermore, the air-infused yarn keeps it from sticking to the skin, and its dry-touch texture is another key feature.

It resists stickiness even in hot weather, maintaining a smooth and comfortable feel.

This silhouette, which we call a knit hat, is an item you'll want to use daily because it minimizes feelings of tightness and stress even after long hours of wear.

Some people might be hesitant to wear knitwear in spring and summer,

but right now, when you're wearing light clothing like just a shirt or sweatshirt, adding a hat with this moderate volume will balance out your overall look.

While lightweight, its subtle puffiness gives the silhouette a three-dimensional feel, providing a simple yet strong presence.

And actually, there are two types in this hand-knitted series.

Even using the same yarn, a change in shape can reveal a completely different expression.

N-1608 / Thyme Watch

This one is a knit cap type.

It's a silhouette that seems like it should have been introduced first.

Why later?

Because it's likely to sell out. (whispers)

When crafted into the minimalist form of a knit cap, the material's "fullness" and "airy feel" are directly expressed in the silhouette.

Similar to the hat, the beautifully lined crown is knitted flat at the top, making its structured silhouette distinctive when worn shallowly.

I personally recommend wearing it pulled down to emphasize its beautifully rounded silhouette.

Because it's knitted with a spongy yarn that has undergone special processing, it might feel tight at first, but it will conform to your head with wear.

However, even as it adapts, the processing ensures that it won't become too loose after extended wear, maintaining its three-dimensional silhouette—that's its charm.

In addition to classic Black and Grey, it's available in four colors, including a seasonal Brown and a soft Ecru that evokes the feeling of spring.

Its single-color finish blends naturally with any outfit, making it an item our staff members often reach for and wear.

The hand-knitted series consists of special items, originally not produced in large quantities.

Please take this opportunity to see them while they are still available.
