[Kvadrat]
Founded in Denmark in 1968, Kvadrat is deeply rooted in the world-renowned Scandinavian design tradition and a leader in design innovation, producing high-performance design textiles, rugs, acoustic and window covering solutions for commercial and residential interiors.
Due to its high quality, it is used as upholstery by many leading furniture manufacturers, including Fritz Hansen.
Kvadrat's products are used in buildings around the world, including Swiss Re (London), the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles), German Parliament (Berlin), the Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao), and Guangzhou Opera House (China), making it one of Europe's leading fabric manufacturers.
Designed by Patricia Urquiola, Memory is a tactile, elastic and irregular upholstery fabric. Memory has a "digital" look and is made of bouclé yarns, which give it a playful surface. Where the yarns are less dense, a background layer of the fabric emerges. This subtle unevenness expresses the beautifully aged patina of the material.
