* Stool (S)
The wara design laboratory stool is made using traditional straw weaving techniques and is designed as a "stool that stands on its own using only straw" without relying on a frame.
This stool, made using the same weaving techniques that have long been used for rice containers and cat baskets, has a rustic feel unique to straw material, a simple and modern form, and a softness that somehow evokes gentleness.
As there is no frame or core, the seat is flexible and will develop a shape that fits snugly around the user's bottom over time.
In addition, the seat height is slightly lower to suit the unique Japanese lifestyle where chair seating and floor seating are mixed.
You can use it in a Japanese-style room, place it in your living room, or even use it as a small side table next to your sofa.
This stool can be used in a variety of situations, regardless of style or scene.

[wara design laboratory]
A straw craft brand that is committed to using 100% domestic straw and is suited to modern life.
Straw crafts have been an essential part of Japanese life since ancient times. Using straw from rice, the staple food, people have made them into tools and decorations, and sometimes sacred objects, which they have grown to love, respect, and then returned to the earth. By designing straw crafts, which are filled with the wisdom and warmth of our ancestors, into products that fit into modern life, we hope to convey their appeal and the skills of their makers.
